Job Description:
The Manager, Global Brand Experience and Events (BX) will manage and execute a wide range of global brand experiences and events, including runway, brand image events, consumer / retail engagements, and priority marketing extensions. In addition to global projects, this role will focus on the governance of regions and licensee events and the development seasonal directives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project lead on events, or portions of, owning scope end-to-end to successful completion (e.g., runway, brand image, retail / consumer), while closely communicating with the Director(s) along the way.
- Lead event planning and execution (e.g., event concept, guest experience, event layout and design, venue scouting, agency management, vendor hire and management, entertainment bookings and talent hospitality, décor and scenic, asset creation, food & beverage experience, permitting and logistics, contract negotiations); production schedules and timelines; budget ownership; and post event return on investment reporting.
- Partner closely with Senior Manager(s) and Director(s) to ideate and develop compelling event concepts that elevate brand positioning and are aligned to global marketing strategies.
- Spearhead cross-functional collaboration and alignments (internal & external) to deliver the highest caliber events.
- Create and refine priority materials inclusive of presentations for stakeholders and detailed agency RFPs.
- Actively drive and contribute to BX brainstorms and function as a thought leader for usable ideas.
- Stay on the pulse of and inform team of industry happenings, key culture moments, emerging trends, and compelling brand opportunities.
- Foster relationships with top agency partners, vendors, venues, industry creatives. Propose and vet new and exciting partners.
REGIONS & LICENSEE
- Partner closely with regions and licensee teams to ensure consistency of strategy and brand aligned executional guidance for regional and local / market events.
- Co-lead the development of global directives for regions and licensee partners, translating seasonal marketing priorities into compelling event formats.
- Manage department communications and process for regions & licensee initiatives.
Team Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Support oversight and mentorship for in-direct reports and manage teams (internal & external) in execution of events.
Budgetary Responsibilities
- Develop and manage individual project budgets against parameters set by department head, identifying efficiencies and opportunities to secure preferential pricing.
- Oversee invoice tracking and processing for individual projects.
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in lifestyle and/or luxury brand communications or marketing with a focus on events (brand image and consumer/ retail); strong knowledge of fashion industry is required.
- Strong project ownership experience within events and managing agencies, vendors, and production teams.
- Budget development & management.
- Strong relationships across experiential agencies, vendors, and venues.
- Experience with high-profile talent and influencers.
- Experience with global teams, regional markets and/or licensee partners preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
