Job Description:
The Event Travel Manager will deliver a high level of service to key clients while supporting the Event Travel team as a whole. The role involves building strong relationships across all areas of Reed & Mackay, leveraging best-in-class market knowledge to support clients’ event objectives. Additionally, the role is responsible for driving revenue across Event Travel services while consistently delivering a strong return on investment for clients.
What You’ll Do
- Assist our travellers with best-in-class personalized travel support, by helping them resolve issues before, during, and after travel. This may require helping with basic cancellations, changes, and updates to hotel, flight, car, and/or rail bookings.
- Provide accurate and detailed fare information for hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings, as needed.
- Work closely with client contacts to understand and meet program objectives/outcomes.
- Identifies clients’ measures of critical success factors for project
- Maintains thorough project documentation to ensure contract and documentation policy compliance (i.e., service agreements, SLAs, etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues by regularly referring to our agent tools for guidelines on how to best assist the traveller.
- Responsible for coordination of program planning from post-sale stage to final billing
- Participate in regular team meetings to ensure you are up to date on new product launches, industry updates and exciting team initiatives and programs
- Constantly improve your travel industry and platform knowledge so we continue to set the standard for best-in-class travel managers
What We’re Looking For
- One to three years of Group Travel planning experience preferred
- Professional oral and written communication skills required
- Navan TravelXen knowledge is preferred with strong understanding of travel bookings
- Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Suites skills along with the technical aptitude to learn new technology
