Red Canary, a Zscaler company, monitors an enterprise’s environment to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats so they can focus on their mission. Our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution is a unique blend of human expertise and security, which protects organizations from modern adversaries as their teams work remotely, move to the cloud, and they adopt new cybersecurity and IT technologies.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Strategic Events to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Director, Demand Generation, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing at least one Strategic Events lead who will support national events (hosted and third party conferences)
- Setting clear goals and performance expectations, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities to team members
- Owning a comprehensive national events (third party and hosted) strategy aligned with Red Canary’s go-to-market strategy
- Rigorously track progress, using Tableau and Salesforce, to provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline creation, deal progression, ACV attainment, and other key data points associated with strategic event programs
- Planning and executing third-party national conferences, overseeing logistics, vendor selection, contract negotiation, budget management and on-site coordination – this includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to pre-book meetings with prospects customers and develop conference programs, speaker engagements, breakout sessions and networking activities to deliver exceptional attendee experiences
- Setting clear and measurable KPIs for each program, continuously iterate to surpass goals and create successful repeatable programs to scale; ensure best practices documentation is created and adhered to for reuse and scale
What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5 – 8 years of experience managing third-party conferences and hosted proprietary events within the technology B2B industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills, a demonstrated ability to develop and execute global event strategies that align with overall business objectives and deliver measurable results
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Tableau and Salesforce reporting
- Flexibility to travel as required for event management
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience managing third-party and hosted conferences within the cybersecurity industry
- Proficient in event management tools such as Cvent and Splash
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Base Pay Range
$106,400 – $152,000 USD
